The primary levels at Panyathip International School (P.I.S) are from Year 1 to Year 6. The curriculum is developed under the framework of Cambridge International Examination (CIE). The English Programme offers the full range of language skills required (Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening, Vocabulary, etc). The core subjects (English, Maths, and Science) are conducted in English by a predominantly native-English speaking and teaching certified staff. Additional classes are offered in ICT, Mandarin Chinese, Music, Arts & Crafts and Topic Studies (general interest, etc), Social Studies, Health & Values and Physical Education (Special Class).


Cambridge International Primary Programme
Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP) is a curriculum framework which focuses on the development of English, Mathematics, and Science skills, knowledge and understanding in younger learners, between ages of 5 to 11 years old.

CIPP develops essential skills in literacy, numeracy and scientific enquiry in students in the primary phase of their education, while covering a good knowledge base reflecting a global perspective. The programme is an excellent preparation for the next phase in a student’s education, providing a foundation for secondary education like International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE).

The core subjects (English, Mathematics and Science), which are delivered in accordance with the syllabi supplied by Cambridge provide students with a firm transferable skill set that will prepare them for further education.


Lao Programme
P.I.S offers Years 1 – 5 students the opportunity to study in an afternoon Lao Programme comprised of core subjects, Language and Literature, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science, as well as, Lao culture and ethics. This programme meets all requirements of the Lao Ministry of Education (MOE). At the end of the school year, the year 5 sit for the exams given by the MOE and this qualifies the students to continue their education in secondary school Lao programme.
