MESSAGE FROM FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR

Sabaidee! Welcome to Panyathip International School It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our Panyathip International School in Vientiane. Let me introduce myself – I am the Founder and Director of the school and first opened Panyathip International School in 2001. Over the past 15 years, we have grown into a Early Years, Primary and Secondary International School, with four campuses in Vientiane. Panyathip was the first International School to be accredited by the Cambridge Curriculum and we are now a Cambridge Examination Centre where we offer the International General Certificate of Education examinations. We were the first school in Laos that offers the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). For our Lao students, we also offer the Lao curriculum and examinations. I am therefore pleased that at Panyathip we can offer the breadth in the curriculum to meet the needs of the diverse International and Lao community. I would like to thank you for considering our school for your child(ren) and wish you a pleasant visit of our school.

MESSAGE FROM SCHOOL MANAGING DIRECTOR

Welcome to Panyathip International School !

There were two important factors that impressed me most about Panyathip International School when I arrived in 2017; today they remain the same motivation for me coming into school each day:

  • Firstly our Director’s passion and ambition which means that the school continues to move forward on a journey of Self-Improvement so that the school really does offer an excellent, flexible and portable programme both in and out of the classroom. We know we are not perfect but we are committed to improving.
  • Secondly our students and the way they embrace everything that the school offers and the positive spirit they engender - so much so that teachers coming to the school for the first time often comment on what a delight they are to teach !

Panyathip Campuses provide the kind of education which our parents want for their children. The characteristics include creating a warm, friendly and purposeful atmosphere on each campus, where everyone is treated as an individual and students have a wide selection of opportunities.

Of course, our focus in the classroom is very important and our Cambridge Examination results have improved year on year so that students who join us and work hard can expect to achieve their potential.

Increasingly, we seek external validation of what we do, so that our community has the reassurance and confidence of knowing that reputable international educational associations have visited us to validate our work.

And we provide this, conscious of the need to ensure the best value for money that we can offer, we want as many young people as possible to “Become the Best that You can Be”!

Please come and see us for yourself … and join us on this exciting educational journey.

MESSAGE FROM DIRECTOR

We want to welcome you and your child to Panyathip Early Years School. We are looking forward to providing exciting new and meaningful experiences year after year. It is during the first 5 years of life that children form attitudes about themselves, others, learning and their environment. These attitudes last a lifetime, so we work very hard to find ways to help children develop positive attitudes towards life and learning. We have a great combination of talented and qualified teachers with qualities that complement and bring out the best in each other. We enjoy working together, sharing ideas, and helping your children become readers and learners for life. We make sure that we provide a happy, secure and safe environment so that our little ones can experience opportunities and explore what they can do inside the classroom and beyond. We facilitate in helping them develop the value of courtesy, consideration and individual responsibility. With unconditional love and gentle care, we help shape their young minds to be ready for the world that is waiting for them. We consistently strive to become a healthier school and bring good nutrition to the forefront by implementing a “Healthy Snack Policy”. We motivate our students to be more aware of the healthy food that they need to eat at a very young age. Health and Nutrition is an essential part of their everyday learning. Educating a child is most successful when parents and schools work together in the best interests of the child. We welcome our dear parents’ input and assistance in educating their children. After all, you are your child’s first teacher. The goal of our programme is to meet your child’s needs not only intellectually but also physically, socially and emotionally. We work diligently here at school to provide our beloved children with wonderful experiences through a balance of play and academics in order for them to develop skills necessary to become constructive members of the community. Thank You!

SCHOOL HISTORY

In 2001, Pathana Panyathip and Damien Lim decided to build a school for Lao nationals. Our founders wanted the students to experience an education with international standards, upholding the Lao values and cultures. In its first year, the school offered Kindergarten to Grade 3 with a total of 38 students and 12 teachers.

From these humble beginnings, the school has undergone a remarkable transformation. Since the number of students (including foreign students) has grown rapidly, the school has moved twice from the first campus in Naxay Village, Saysettha District to the present site in Sapanthong Neua, Sisattanak District. Also, to accommodate the demands for our Kindergarten School, a separate campus in Sapanthong Tai, Sisattanak District was also built.

In 2015 Panyathip opened another new purpose built campus in Savannakhet in order to assist the development of the province by providing high quality British international education for locals and expats. Since opening the school has grown and in 2018/2019 will go up to Year 10.

In 2017 a second Kindergarten was opened in Nonsavanh village and in 2018 will begin its primary classes.

In 2018 a purpose built Primary School close to the Kindergarten was opened making the school unique in Laos by providing purpose-built facilities for all three major phases of learning.
